Last Sunday saw the Overybury Farms annual Lambing Day take place - and a wonderful day was had by all. Even the sunshine came out to meet us!
Over 500 people attended the day, enjoying a tractor ride up Bredon Hill to our lambing sheds at Park Farm. Here they were greeted by our game keepers who spent the day teaching children about countryside management and the importance of pest control.
Most people were lucky enough to witness the birth of a lamb whilst walking around the sheds, as well as enjoying a cuddle with our orphan lambs.
After returning to the village hall everybody was met with a wide selection of homemade cakes, biscuits, apple juice, tea and a scrummy Overbury Lamb casserole.
We collected money throughout the day for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Instituition, who are supporting British Hill farmers and their flock during the devasting weather over the last few weeks. With your generosity we raised over £160.00 for the Charity.
Thank you to everyone who supported the event. Finally, a huge thank you to the willing volunteers who helped make the day so successful. The wonderful homemade cakes, lamb casserole and assistance at the lambing sheds was priceless.
See you all next year!
