Jake visits New Zealand

Farm Manager Jake Freestone has been travelling in New Zealand since the 24th November 2014.

As part of Jakes Nufield Scholarship he has been travelling around the North and South Island, visiting a number of farmers and fellow Nuffield Scholars.

Jake is researching the possibility of harvesting 20 tons of wheat per hectare by 2020. You can learn more about his project at the Nuffield Scholarship Website. Earlier this year he spent 5 weeks in Canada, North America and Mexico where he met research organisations, farmers and agronomists - all leaders in their respective fields.

Jake will be back in the UK for Christmas, but you can stay up to date with his daily adventures in New Zealand through his popular blog.
