Lambing Live 2015

Overbury Farms Lambing Live event took place on Sunday 19th April 2015.  It was a chilly but dry day and the car park soon filled up.

The tractor and trailer rides proved very popular and made trip after trip up to the lambing sheds.

Some lucky visitors got to see a lamb being born.  At one point our Shepherd Reg had to step in and give a ewe a helping hand to deliver her lamb.

The Gamekeepers were busy explaining how their role on the farm encourages biodiversity and showing guests what they do.

Countrywide 2

The lovely people from Countrywide were a big hit running a 'guess the weight of the lamb' competition and giving prizes and rosettes out.

There were lots of other things to see including the equipment and machinery used by Reg and his team.

Back at the Village Hall the wonderful ladies of Overbury and Conderton were very popular as they served guests with hot and cold drinks, delicious home made cakes and ice cream.

The children completed the quiz and did colouring in.  Watch out on our Facebook page for the announcement of the winner.

Don't forget to post your best pictures of the day on Twitter using #OverburyLambingLive #farmpics to @No1FarmerJake.  The winner of this competition will also be posted on our Facebook page so keep your eyes peeled.
