Lambing Day Success

Sunday (3rd April 2016) saw hundreds of people ‘flocking’ to Overbury to see the lambs at our Lambing Live 2016 event.

Over 600 people came and enjoyed a tractor and trailer ride up to our lambing sheds where they met the ewes, their new arrivals and our Shepherd Reg and the team.

There were talks from the Warreners, a display of our farming machinery and equipment and a trailer with the lovely people from Countrywide to explain what they do.

We have seen some lovely photos on our social media pages so far and hope to see more.  If you came along and haven’t shared your photos with us yet, don’t forget to put them on Twitter or Instagram using #overburylambinglive to be in with a chance to win the competition.

The Village Hall was also a hive of activity with a busy children’s corner, wonderful cakes, teas, coffees and ice cream.

We want to say a huge thank you to all the volunteers from Overbury and Conderton who helped both in the organisation and on the day with jobs ranging from car parking, ticket selling, cake baking and tea making.  THANK YOU!!

Our next farming event is Open Farm Sunday on 5th June 2016.  Look out for details on the Events page for how to book your FREE place.
