Welcome to Overbury Farms Home Page

Overbury Farms, managed by Jake Freestone, is a sheep and arable farm set on the historic Cotswold slopes of Bredon Hill in Worcestershire. Overbury Farms is on the Overbury Estate which has been in the same family for over 250 years. Covering 1,538 hectares, it surrounds the picturesque villages of Overbury and Conderton.

We have had our 2010 Open Farm Sunday on Sunday 13th June. We returned to our Bookings Only tractor & trailer rides starting at 9am. Apologies to those who turned up hoping for a ride - we were fully booked with 5 rides.
Further information & bits on our Open Lambing day which was on Sunday 11th April 2010 see our Events Page.

Those walking round may have noticed the signs saying we grew barley for malting to go into Carling beer. Carling have interviewed Jake. Meet the farmers growing for Carling

We took Wychall School children (our twinned school from Birmingham) round the farm on a wet June day - see our education page.

2009 Jake was filmed by the NFU at our very wet 4th Open Farm Sunday for You Tube See our events page.

New & Old

While we are very keen to maintain many traditional values (such high standards of hedge cutting & keeping on top of wall repairs) we have taken up many aspects of modern technology (such as GPS mapping) to keep us ahead with cost savings & efficiency. There is an emphasis on conservation and we enjoy sharing with future generations what farming is about. We meet the rigorous environmental standards set by the farm's LEAF Audit and LEAF MARQUE (LEAF is Linking Environment and Farming) which is in addition to our Farm Assurance standards.
